Raw Organic Beetroots are a superfood, a nutritional and circulatory health powerhouse. During this mask wearing Covid pandemic many people’s blood oxygen levels have been negatively impacted leading to physical and mental lethargy and fatigue. Human clinical studies have shown beetroot increases oxygen in the blood by 10% to 20%. Beetroots also significantly lower blood pressure by 4-10 mmhg over a period of only a few hours. Beetroots are an excellent source of folate, manganese, potassium, vitamin C, iron and phosphorus. Our Yogurts are the only Certified Grass Fed and Organic Yogurts in Ontario. Additionally they are the only Yogurts made of Jersey Cow milk and consequently have up to 30% more protein than regular Holstein cow milk. Jersey milk is also 20% higher in calcium and richer in micronutrients; minerals and vitamins (the golden hue of Jersey milk is due to it’s high beta carotene levels). Jersey cows produce A2 β-casein protein milk which some find easier to digest. Our Beetroot Honey Yogurt has a cream top as we do not homogenize the milk; several studies have claimed that non-homogenized milk does not contribute to arteriosclerosis.
